Seashore Mission feeds the homeless

Seashore Mission in Biloxi did their part in giving back and helping feed the homeless this Thanksgiving holiday.
The shelter cooked up a hearty meal with turkey, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and much more with dessert to follow to feed over two hundred people.
Seashore Mission Director Judy Cottrell tells News 25 it’s just like spending time with family and being able to help those in need is just icing on the cake. The shelter opened in the 1980s and has been putting together their holiday feasts for the homeless for more than ten years. “I wish everyone could feel what I feel just being here every day because they give me inspiration. They give me encouragement to keep on going. They have nothing, but they have more joy and more hope than most people that have everything.”
Cottrell says they’ll be planning for their Christmas feast within the next couple weeks and are already accepting donations for the homeless to give to them on Christmas morning.
