SAUCIER ELEMENTARY WELCOMED BACK WITH NEW CAFETERIA

Students at Saucier Elementary headed back to school and were surprised with a change in the cafeteria.
You might remember News 25 brought you a story in may about 4th grade math teacher Ashley Jensen painting the cafeteria to make the white walls more fun.
Students got a first look at the newly painted walls, and it’s safe to say they are a hit.

6th Grader Trista Holland says, “Because it looked really pretty, and now everyone sees color instead of plain white.”
And Allie Speight says, “I love it. It’s so beautiful and so much more colorful than the plain white walls.”
“The first day of school, countless kids, teachers, parents have sought me out to say how they really appreciate the brightened atmosphere of our cafeteria,” says Jensen.

Jensen tells News 25 it took her about 40 hours to complete the project.
