Salvation Army seeking volunteers

With Christmas just a little over a week away, the Salvation Army is still in need of more bell ringers.

They are seeking volunteers and donations. All donations made will help the Gulf Coast area. Donations made online also stay in the coastal area because they are based off zip code.

The Salvation Army helps the community out with many different projects such as veteran care packages, helping the local homeless, and more.

They are already down over $10,000 in donations compared to last year. Salvation Army Area Coordinator Major Bradley Caldwell said, “The care people experience during this time of year is something that reinforces their sense of worth, their sense of life being good and that feeling can carry on into the years ahead. The Salvation Army, as a Christian church, we give out of the feeling that we were given to by God and we want to continue to carry on that blessing if you will.”

You can volunteer your time by visit the Salvation Army website or calling 228-326-4676.
