Ryan’s Tuesday Night Forecast

It will be slightly warmer tonight than it was last night, by only about 5 degrees. Inland areas will still be below freezing in the early morning hours so viewers in the northern coastal counties should take extra precautions with exposed pipes, outdoor pets, and plants vulnerable to freezing. Things will begin to warm up as we approach the weekend, maxing out in the mid to upper 60s on Friday, then starting a slow cooling trend heading into next week. An approaching frontal system is bringing rain on Thursday, instability factors are low, so not much more than rain showers are expected but a thunderstorm is not out of the question. These rainy features are the product of shortwave low pressure features moving through at the mid to upper levels, and it looks like we can expect the first on Thursday, and the next moving through Saturday to Sunday. Expect moderate to light showers during these times…
