Ryan’s “Gloomy” Monday Afternoon Forecast
It’s been a gloomy start to the week, but sunny and dry weather returns just as quickly as these clouds moved in. A tropical wave is moving West across the Northern Gulf and brought a considerable amount of moisture to South MS, but not much instability. That means we’re seeing dark, low clouds, but not much actual rainfall yet, though it could increase as we head through the afternoon. By tomorrow (Tuesday), most of the energy and moisture will have moved into Texas, ushering in much drier weather from the East. A ridge will strengthen in in Southeast, and we’ll see dry, sunny, and hot conditions well into the beginning of next week before a front begins moving through at the start of next week.
There are no tropical systems to track at the moment, but conditions are leading to the possibility of increased production out of the Caribbean sea over the next few weeks, so we will continue to monitor the situation.
