Rohrbacker indicted on capital murder charge in death of Lt. Michael Boutte
The man accused of shooting and killing a Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy in February has been indicted on a capital murder charge.
According to our media partner the Sun Herald, a grand jury returned the indictment against 31-year-old Joseph Michael Rohrbacker in the fatal shooting on Hancock County Sheriff’s Lt. Michael Boutte on February 1st.
Arraignment for Rohrbacker is set for Monday, September 13th.
If convicted of capital murder, Rohrbacker faces a possible death sentence or life in prison without parole.
