Robin Roberts on the Coast

Robin Roberts returned to her hometown in Pass Christian for a special first look at her documentary on the ten year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
Family, close friends and special guests came together at the Pass Christian Boys and Girls Club to watch the sad, inspiring, and uplifting film.
Roberts talked about her personal experience coming home right after Katrina hit. Not only was it hard to tell the stories of New Orleans and Mississippi residents losing their homes, but it was also difficult for Roberts to share her own story. “Being there the morning after and looking around and things that I grew up with were gone and landmarks were gone. I am really very grateful that it taught me how to share more of myself.”
Roberts was presented with a gift from the Pass Christian Boys and Girls Club, an organization her mother helped start here on the Coast.
