A Ride on the Polar Express

It was all aboard the Polar Express for Ocean Springs School District kindergarteners as they paid a visit to the North Pole at Ocean Springs High School.
The fun started out with a magical ride on the Polar Express with singing and dancing from Ocean Springs High School students. There were plenty of holiday activities like face painting, writing letters to Santa, creating Christmas ornaments and they even went home with a bag of reindeer food to leave out on Christmas Eve. The kids enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate before spending some time with Santa.
Oak Park Elementary Kindergartner Scarlett Kay said, “It was so lovely. The hot cocoa was so warm and fresh. Oh and I saw Santa and I got a candy cane from him because I’ve been excellent. I’ve been an excellent girl.”
Oak Park Elementary Kindergartner Rowan said, “It’s very exciting. I can’t believe I took a picture with Santa.”
This fun holiday event is something the teacher academy students put on each year for the kindergartners in the school district.
