Retired Lt. Jeff Necaise, 25-year veteran of Gulfport Police Department, dies at 56

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) — Retired Lieutenant Jeffrey “Jeff” Necaise, who served with the Gulfport Police Department for more than 25 years, has died.

According to his obituary,  Necaise passed away Monday, September 14. He was 56-years-old.

The Gulfport Police Department said in a statement posted to Facebook, “We are saddened to announce the passing of retired Lieutenant Jeff Necaise. Lieutenant Necaise served the Gulf Coast for over 25 years and made a lasting positive impact on everyone he encountered. We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, love, and support for our employees and most importantly the family during this difficult time.”

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home located at 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. in the chapel.
