Preps for MGRC Golf Tournament

Crews were out and about this morning prepping for the annual Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic.
Players were allowed to practice on the course to prepare for Wednesday and Thursday’s pro-am tournament. Round one of the official tournament tees off on Friday with gates opening at 9 a.m.
Tournament officials tell News 25 rain was a minor setback for the prep work and practice, but the tournament will go on rain or shine. MGRC Director of Media Relations Frank Kay said, “Spectator safety is our main concern. We do have plans in place depending on weather conditions that may arise, but overall we’re going to play and it’s going to work out fine, it has in the past and we look forward to having it work in the future.”
