Preparing for Super Bowl LIII
Super Bowl Sunday is less than a week away with the Los Angeles Rams taking on the New England Patriots.
A new champion is ready to be crowned at Super Bowl 53 as the Patriots and Rams converge inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. “It’s the biggest game of the year.”
Hard Rock Operations Manager Russell Schenk says bets on the big game are starting to pile in, but thanks in large part to the highly-controversial New Orleans no call in the fourth quarter of the NFC Championship game, a lot of Saints fans are keeping their money in their wallets. “When the Saints were in the game we had big action, there was a little fall out because of that bad call at the end of the game, but we’re still seeing really good action on the Super Bowl, but we do know if the Saints would have been in there because of the fan base is so huge down here on the Coast, we would have seen bigger numbers.”
So far, Hard Rock has seen pretty even distributions on the number of bets on the Rams versus Patriots. Schenk says prop bets also seem to be a popular change of pace for sports betters.”You can make just about any bet. Who’s gonna win the flip of the coin, who’s going to score the first touchdown. You name it, there’s a way to bet on it.”
On Sunday, they will let sports fans have a chance for in-game betting.“We are absolutely going to have in-play action. As the game is going on you can make prop bets. You can change your bet.”
Sports books along the Coast aren’t the only ones expecting high numbers this Sunday. Pizza restaurants are also right there in the mix with Super Bowl Sunday being one of the busiest days for pizza delivery. John Pace with Papa John’s Pizza said, “It’s a very busy day. We’ll be at full staff at all our stores across the Coast.”
In the hours prior to the Super Bowl, some of the busiest Papa John’s locations on the Coast expect to make 175 to 250 pizzas each hour.
So, make sure you have your bets place and your pizza ordered before watching the Rams take on the Patriots in Super Bowl 53.
