Early Sunday, Coast Electric crews from their Poplarville office left for Columbia, Mississippi to assist their sister co-op Pearl River Valley Electric. Significant progress has already been made with storm restoration, but with more than 100 broken poles they still have some work ahead of them. Coast division crews of Mississippi Power are currently in Taylorsville, Mississippi to help with the restoration effort. Taylorsville was one of the areas hardest in the state of Mississippi as crews repaired more than 40 poles, replaced dozens of transformers and rebuilt 75 spans of wire totaling more than ten miles.
