Popp’s Ferry Elementary hosting drive-thru award ceremonies

Teachers at Popp’s Ferry Elementary School haven’t seen their students since March. So in order to try to put the finishing touches on the school year, a three day drive-thru awards ceremony will take place to celebrate the school’s star pupils.

There was confetti, gifts, music, bubbles, you name it. These ceremonies showcase how much the faculty and staff at Popp’s Ferry Elementary wanted to send their students off on a high note.

We can’t forget about the amazing awards the kids worked hard for all school year. Popp’s Ferry Elementary Assistant Principal Vivian Malone said, “Awards like perfect attendance, A and B Honor Roll, All A Honor Roll, we even have the Presidential Award today. So, each student will get something today just to say we appreciate them for all their hard work for this year.”

Two more drive-thru award ceremonies are set to take place this week from 10 a.m. to noon.
