PLANS FOR TRANSGENDER PEOPLE PROHIBITED FROM SERVICE MOVES FORWARD

A plan to prohibit transgender people from serving in the military can move forward.
Today, the Supreme Court, in a five to four split, reversing lower-court rulings which tabled president trump’s policy as cases moved through the courts.
While also declining to take up any cases about the ban. Instead, the justices decided to let those cases move through the lower courts.
President Trump wants to ban transgender people from the military unless they serve “in their biological gender”.
We talked to a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the LGBTQ plus community, Molly Kester, who had this to say about the situation.
“It makes me feel betrayed because I am an American citizen and I am a veteran of the military and I should have the same rights as the other Americans who have served beside me.”
Gender transition while serving in the military would also be prohibited.
