Peter Anderson Fest Runs Through the Weekend

The Peter Anderson Festival starts Saturday, and this being the 36th festival, organizers are making a few additions this year.

Vendors have been setting up for the festival all week. The Coast tradition brings artists, chefs, and musicians all to one place to showcase their works and this year, even give painting and pottery demonstrations, but that’s not the only new addition this year.

Cynthia Dobbs Sutton, event coordinator and public relations, says, “We have a new kids corner. They kind of call it the ‘Mini Fest,’ and that’s gonna’ be downtown on Government Street, where children and families get to create a community, take part, and actually develop a community sculpture. Now, we’re gonna’ put that out somewhere in Ocean Springs following the festival for a little while.”
