Pay Raises for Biloxi City Employees

The Biloxi City Council votes for a 3 to 5 percent pay raise for all city employees. The Council budgeted about $1 million to fund these raises. The increase in pay is based on longevity of employees.
All city employees, except for those who have worked for the city less than a year, will receive pay raises under the new budget. Public Affairs Manager Vincent Creel said, “If you’ve been here from one to five years, it’ll be three percent. If you’ve been here from six to 15 years, it will be four percent. And if you’ve been here 16 to 40 years, you’ll receive a five percent raise. This is the first pay raise they have received since 2008.”
The pay raise will become effective at the start of the new fiscal year, October 1st.
