Ongoing search for Labor Day murder suspect

Multiple authorities are now teaming up to track down the suspect who shot a man outside a hotel in Ocean Springs on Labor Day.
Police are looking for 37-year-old Nicky Johns of Tennessee after a dead body was found in a Travel Lodge parking lot. Thirty-seven year-old Christopher Rochelle of Columbia, Tennessee was found with a bullet wound to the head.
Officers responded to the Travel Lodge on Highway 90 after a call about a possible murder just before 4 p.m. Monday. Johns became a suspect after a woman who witnessed the crime informed police. Captain William Jackson with Ocean Springs Police Department said, “She was approached up at North Washington at Circle K. They brought her here to the station and we interviewed her and she was able to identify the suspect and since then we have used every available resource with the U.S. marshals, FBI, also along with the Lawrenceburg Police Department.”
