Vancleave man arrested for aggravated domestic assault
JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A 34-year-old Vancleave man has been arrested for aggravated domestic assault.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a Mobile, Alabama hospital on November 1 for an aggravated domestic assault complaint.
Deputies learned a female victim was originally admitted to Ocean Springs Hospital with serious injuries.
The sheriff’s office says investigators determined Humberto Delgado had previously strangled the victim prior to her hospitalization.
Thursday, deputies executed an arrest warrant for Delgado and a search warrant at his residence off McGregor Road.
After a brief barricade, Delgado surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.
He remains at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center without bond, pending an initial appearance.
