Ole Miss returns home after 0-3 road trip

The road hasn’t been kind to the Ole Miss football team with the Rebels having lost all three games away from the Vaught so far this season. The losses haven’t been pretty, either.
On Saturday, Ole Miss fell behind early at Auburn and trailed 35-3 at halftime. The Rebels outscored the War Eagles 20-9 in the second half, but the damage had already been done.
Big plays and missed assignments killed any chance the visitors had as was the case at Cal and then Alabama.
The Rebels went more than six quarters of football without scoring a touchdown so they’ll look to build on the last two quarters of the 44-23 defeat against Vanderbilt. Head Coach Matt Luke said, “(Going into the Vandy game, what are y’all focusing the most on) “Winning.”
(“I guess more specifically.”) “I think building on the second half of the Auburn game. I feel like some of these young players are starting to grow up and starting to believe, and we just want to build on that. We just want to build on it, walk out there with confidence and just building on the positives that I saw, and obviously the results were not what we wanted, but we have to build on those positives moving forward and I think that’s what we’ll do this week.”
Ole Miss plays its next three games at home and five out of its next six overall.
