Ocean Springs High School Science Fair

Students are putting science skills to the test at Ocean Springs High School.
An entire semester’s worth of work in projects filled the classroom at the high school this afternoon. Every year a group of students research, perform experiments, and collect data for a spot to compete in the annual science fair. The fair is judged by retired educators, local scientists, one of them being WXXV’s Ryan Mahan.
Students tell News 25 they learned a lot from their projects and even learned a little bit about themselves, too.
Thirty-six students entered projects in the school’s fair. The winning project was on the effectiveness of a stainless steel cup’s ability to maintain heat.
