‘Now Hiring’ signs taking over the Gulf Coast

The Coast is experiencing a shortage in workers. Companies are now hiring and help wanted signs are scattered throughout the area.

It can be hard work getting back to work after getting fired or laid off because of the pandemic. However, with the lifted mask mandate in Mississippi, indoor and outdoor venues are able to reopen at full capacity, and tens of thousands of Mississippians are vaccinated.

Local restaurants, delivery services, and retail shops need employees to prepare for summer tourists.

Many restaurants along the Coast still require guests and employees to wear a mask for the safety of employees and customers. The Blind Tiger Director of Operations Scott Sutherland said, “People who want to come out and work with a smiling face, need all positions back of the house, front of the house, management. We’re one of the few companies actually growing in all this. So, we’re looking to expand our company and expand our employment of some qualified people. Some people may be a little frightened to go to work or afraid I understand that but for those who want to work and ready we’re here for you.”

The Blind Tiger and Marina Cantina are hiring at all locations and for all positions. You can apply at Marina Cantina in Gulfport or one of the many Blind Tiger locations along the Coast.
