No School at Moss Point High School Today

Classes have been canceled for Monday at Moss Point High School after a fire that occurred overnight.
 
Fire department crews worked throughout the night checking for hot spots, and officials say a lot of smoke was inside the school. There were no injuries.

The fire started shortly after midnight and was confined to the east end of the building, the hall and entrance where the principal’s office is located.
 
The Jackson County Fire Marshal, the State Fire Marshal and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation are determining how the fire started. Suspected arson could be the cause.
 
Students in grades 9-12 will not have school Monday. Students in kindergarten through eighth grade will have class as usual.
