Nineteen-year-old shooting suspect wanted in Pascagoula turns himself in

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- A nineteen-year-old wanted in connection with a shooting at a Pascagoula apartment complex is now in custody.

Pascagoula police say Justin Hooks turned himself in Friday.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire at Taylor Heights Apartments on Old Mobile Avenue Wednesday night.

Several vehicles were hit by gunfire and police say one person was also struck and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators identified Hooks as the suspect. He is currently facing a charge of aggravated assault.
