New State Laws Go in Effect Tomorrow

The clock is ticking down until a few new state laws go into effect, including two that effect just about anyone who drives: the ban on texting and driving and the elimination of safety inspection stickers.
Starting tomorrow, law enforcement will be on the lookout for people who are texting and driving or using social media websites on their cell phones.
The first fine will cost you $25, after July 2016 the fine jumps to $100.
Also, starting tomorrow, you won’t be required to get a safety inspection sticker for your vehicles. The only exception, vehicles with tinted windows will still have to get a one-time inspection.
