New art at District Coffee in Ocean Springs

A local 20-year-old artist made her debut on Government Street during the Peter Anderson Festival.

Raven Olier painted the wall outside the Coffee District Coffee Café just in time for the arts festival. She says she is forever grateful for the exposure and wants to make art her career. “It’s been surreal. I have reached out to a few more established artists and they’ve been really great on giving me tips and just advice on how to make your art a profession. So, the fact that I’m only 20 and I’ve done three murals in one year, it’s definitely been a great experience. I have to give a shoutout to all my friends and family for giving contacts to people like the coffee brothers. I didn’t know them, but now we’re friends for life. They’re the best people and they let me do this mural and I am forever thankful for that.”
