Neighborhood in Long Beach puts on holiday light display

While many Coast communities are canceling holiday celebrations due to the recent uptick in COVID-19 cases, one local neighborhood has provided Gulf Coast residents a safe, socially distanced way to get into the holiday spirit.

The Long Beach neighborhood puts on an annual holiday light display that attracts many from all over the Coast.

While driving down the magical street, you can turn your radio to 89.3 FM and enjoy a light show synchronized to Christmas music.

Along with traditional nativity scenes, lit up reindeer and Santa, and the classic Christmas trees, viewers will also spot some of their favorite Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Baby Yoda, and more. Three-year-old Gracelynn Melton said, “(What was your favorite lights that you saw?) Elsa! Mermaid! Olaf!)

Waveland resident Brooks Breland said, “We did it last year. I don’t know about the year before, but the girls love it. I mean, we love it. I like the rave music. They like the Christmas music. It’s pretty cool.”

The festive neighborhood is located on Copper Court right off Pineville Road.
