National Signing Day at Ocean Springs
Today was a big day at Ocean Springs High School for a number of athletes.
This morning, four football players and one girls soccer player put pen to paper and agreed to play at the next level.
Greyhound running back Micah Kelly was among one of the four football players. He signed his national letter of intent to continue his football career at the University of Toledo in Ohio.
Kelly was a standout player his senior year and tells News 25 that he credits transferring from Gautier to Ocean Springs for some of his success. “It’s definitely relieving considering what I had going on which was nothing. I worked really hard to get to this point. I am glad everything finally paid off. You might see a couple tears, I am just happy. I am excited to be going somewhere and moving on to the next chapter in my life.”
After today, all five of the seniors on the girls soccer team will be playing at the next level.
