Your CBD Store in Ocean Springs celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month

The month of October celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

The Goff family is just like every other family, but what exactly makes them so special? Well, it’s not what, but who. Noah Goff is their 13-year-old son who was diagnosed with autism when he was in kindergarten. Just like every other child, Noah has his own ambitions for what he wants to be when he grows up. Natalie Goff said, “It’s so important to us because our son currently has the desire to have his own commercial lawn care, but that could change. So where does that leave him?”

Noah’s parents own ‘Your CBD Store’ in Ocean Springs and part of their mission is to advocate for the employment of people with disabilities and by making everyone else aware, this might just give kids like Noah a chance to pursue his dreams. “Lawn care is my great future because it gives me good exercise, I like breathing in the grass. It’s really fun.”

Noah even has his own business card to share. “What this card is about is it helps support my business.  Whoever needs help cutting their grass, they can give me a call. My number is 504-408-7954.”

Increasing access and opportunity, that’s the 2020 theme for October’s annual observance of National Disability Employment Awareness Month and the Goff family plans to do exactly that in the upcoming years. “Our goal is within the next five years to have four more stores just like this in the area, surrounding area and to be able to give and focus on the needs of the adult community with special needs because we know how to train them, to comfort them, and to give them a place of safety.”
