MS Department of Health provides information on medical marijuana

The medical marijuana process is underway in Mississippi.

Licensing for medical marijuana is live and legal products through dispensaries are expected to be ready before the end of the year, that’s what we were told during a briefing earlier this morning.

Cannabis testing regulations have been put in place to ensure product safety.

The Mississippi Health Department website also provides important information on their medical marijuana page.

After viewing the website, businesses can register for licensing by clicking on the portal and beginning the pre-application process. Program Director Kris Hones Adcock said, (“Any last tips for maneuvering the portal, Kris?) I don’t think so, it’s pretty intuitive. I joke and say that if you can shop on Amazon, you can probably work through the portal, but we’ve tried to make it as simple as possible.”

For safety reasons, there will be no marketing or advertising for medical cannabis, apart from a website and logo to brand a business.
