MS Center for Autism holding Fun in the Sun Fun Day
The Mississippi Center for Autism and Related Developmental Disabilities is hosting a summer enrichment fun day this Friday.
The children at the facility can look forward to enjoying an egg spoon race, potato sack race, face painting, and water slides.
The fun day event was inspired by one of the clients at the facility who expressed wanting to get an opportunity to play games outside with their peers.
Carmen Payton, registered behavioral technician at the facility, tells News 25 this is a way to get the kids out and enjoy a sense of normalcy. “We wanted to do something special for our clients. Our clients have dealt with a lot of adjustments this year with interruption of school, therapy service, and just COVID in general. So, we just wanted to have a day where they could have fun.”
The event will take place at the center in D’Iberville from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required for the fun day.
