Moss Point shooting injures five

A rap concert ends in gunfire, wounding multiple victims at Platinum Sports Bar and Lounge in Moss Point early Sunday morning.
According to the Moss Point Police Department, a fight broke out at the club just after 3 a.m. The altercation spilled into the parking lot where gunshots were exchanged by multiple parties. Five people were shot and a total of ten people were injured during the brawl, but none of those injuries were reported as life threatening.
Moss Point police and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department pursued and apprehended a suspect, 23-year-old Willie Peden, and recovered two semi-automatic handguns that are believed to have been used at Club Platinum.
