Mississippi Receives Advanced Placement Grants

Mississippi receives federal advanced placement grants in an effort to boost college and career readiness for historically underserved students.
The state will receive nearly $190,000 in grants from the U.S. Department of Education to help low income families pay for the fees associated with taking AP tests.
The grants are expected to be enough to pay for all but $15 of the cost of each AP test taken by low income students.
