Mississippi Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers works to help solve local cases
Since the organization’s start in 1967, Crime Stoppers tips have led to the clearing of more than one million cases worldwide.
Here at home, the Mississippi Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers works with law enforcement in seven different counties to solve cases.
Currently, the Mississippi Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers website features eight missing persons cases. The website also features 18 different cases of unsolved crimes.
Gulf Coast Coordinator Lori Massey says the goal is to bring closure to victims’ families. “It hurts your heart to see what the families are going through. Our organization tries our hardest to help them in any way we possibly can to get information to give law enforcement to help solve their case.”
Massey encourages anyone who knows anything about a crime to report it, no matter how insignificant you think it is. Your tip could lead to an arrest and an award.
