Michael Grimm, Hancock County native and “America’s Got Talent” winner, releases soulful Christmas album

Michael Grimm, the Hancock County native who won “America’s Got Talent” in 2010, has released his first Christmas album.

“Michael Grimm – Sleigh Bells Not Included” will be released November 1 by Tinane Entertainment in cooperation with Mattikay Music. The album will go on pre-sale October 11.

Grimm will perform the album live, along with other Christmas favorites, in a virtual Christmas concert on December 20 through Crowdcast. The special will feature his full band along with special Las Vegas guests for a 90-minute virtual holiday celebration, all while maintaining Covid protocols. Visit www.MichaelGrimmMusic.com/shows for the direct link to the concert page.

“Sleigh Bells Not Included” is a unique collection of lesser-known Christmas favorites that will leave you tapping your toes and begging for more. Bobby Ferrari of Skeleton Key Recording Studio, in Las Vegas, worked side by side with Grimm to produce a Christmas album that is authentic to Grimm’s Southern roots and soulful sounds.

“With everything going on, I felt this was the perfect time to give back and hopefully raise some spirits,” says Grimm.

Raised in Hancock County, Mississippi, by his grandparents, Grimm emerged from extremely humble beginnings to become a singing, songwriting and guitar-playing triple-threat of talent. He got his first taste of national success at age 16, when he released the hit song “John Wayne and Jesus,” earning him the CCMA Star of Tomorrow award in 1997. Several albums later, Michael took home the championship of “America’s Got Talent” in 2010 and returned in 2019 as an AGT Champion.
