Memorial celebrates 75 years of serving the Coast
Memorial Health System invited team members and the community to celebrate its 75-year history during the Chamber after 5 event this evening.
In its 75 years of existence, Memorial Health System has expanded into multiple hospitals, two nursing centers, four outpatient surgery centers, a variety of other centers, and more than 100 physician clinics.
The team at Memorial showcased its new logo that indicates their dedication to forward thinking.
The logo is made up of several arrows and triangles with a medical cross located in the negative space in between.
Memorial is moving from ‘building a healthier community’ to their new mission ‘to heal, inspire, and transform the health of our community.’ Memorial Auxiliary Board Treasurer Ellen Lindsey said, “It’s unbelievable really. I was employed at the hospital for 25 years and I’ve been a volunteer for about 11 years, and the growth that I’ve seen and what things I’ve seen here at the hospital is just amazing. We’re going to extend into the community more through our business development division, so we’re looking forward to that.”
Memorial also unveiled new brand colors and a new website that reflects the growth of the health system throughout the years.
