Maxwell to Run for Mayor of Pascagoula

Pascagoula native, business man, and former law officer Dane Maxwell has announced his candidacy for mayor.
Maxwell recently assisted in managing a successful campaign as the southeast regional political coordinator for President-Elect Trump.
Maxwell’s father was also the mayor of Pascagoula. He believes the lessons he learned from his father and his experience in politics have prepared him to tackle the duties of mayor in a business-like manner, much like the approach Trump has taken in regards to the presidency. “It’s starting in an area that you’re familiar with in the business sector and then approaching everything in government as a business. That’s something that we don’t do, not just in being fiscally conservative, but also in the economic development side. We have to be able to see good projects, understand what they’re about and whether it’s a good project for the city or not,” said Maxwell.
Jim Blevins currently serves as the mayor of Pascagoula. Municipal primaries will be May 2nd. The general election will be June 6th.
