Man Charged after Firing Shots at Party in St. Martin

A Pascagoula man is facing charges after shots were fired at a Christmas party in St. Martin.
Twenty-two year-old William Liddell is charged with a misdemeanor violation of discharging a firearm. Jackson County deputies arrested Liddell at the Grand Biscayne Apartments in St. Martin early this morning.
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell tells News 25 Liddell fled from authorities after firing a gun during a large holiday party at the complex. He was later arrested at a nearby convenience store. “If you’re going to have a party, go have a party. Don’t pull out guns and start shooting, I mean come on. This is a time of year to be festive, helpful and thankful for all that you have. Don’t let things get out of hand like this. I mean, this just makes no sense,” said Sheriff Ezell.
No one was injured from the shots fired. The apartment complex is on Lemoyne Boulevard.
