Making the Coast great again

Students in the Gulf Coast Business Council’s Master Leadership Program just completed their 2018 class year.

The group of 25 students spent 2018 looking at community development strategies on the Gulf Coast. The program kicked off in 2007 and has been going strong ever since.

Students meet annually to go over plans and ideas. They end the program with a presentation to the council.

C.E.O. and President Ashley Edwards says the students made substantial recommendations to help improve the quality of life for residents in the area. “What our class found was that the Gulf Coast should continue to make strategic investments in community development and understanding that ultimately the success of our communities will determine the success to sustainability in the Gulf Coast.”

The council is launching its 2019 class. If you are interested you can pick up an application at the Gulf Coast Business Council’s Office or fill one out on the website at www.msgcbc.org.
