Lost pets after the Fourth of July

The Fourth of July has come and gone and Coast animal shelters are seeing their intake numbers rise today.

Some pets end up lost after experiencing the firework shows. The Humane Society of South Mississippi in Gulfport has already had over 30 animals come in.

HSSM suggests downloading an app called ‘Finding Rover’ that uses facial recognition of your pet to see if they are in a shelter nearby.

The shelter says if you lost your pet it is best to just show up to the shelter to see if your furry friend is there.
