Jackson County officers involved in fight put on leave

The two South Mississippi police officers who were arrested after a fight are both on administrative leave.
Jackson County sheriff deputies arrested Moss Point Police Officer Raymond Lias and Pascagoula Police Officer Michael Ladnier in Ocean Springs Friday night. The arrest was made after the deputies responded to a call about a fight in the parking lot of Beachview Package Liquor.
According to authorities, the fight between the two officers stemmed from an altercation on the road. Lt. Doug Adams with Pascagoula PD said, “We take this extremely serious. Our officers started investigating it this morning from the internal affairs division. They will do a very thorough investigation and, along with the findings of the court, make their recommendation to the chief of police.”
The police officers were both off duty at the time of the incident. Both of them are charged with DUI first offense and disorderly conduct.
