Harrison County Voters Head to the Polls

Despite at least one hot race in Harrison County, there was an overall low turnout of voters.
Elections officials blame a lack of Democratic runoff elections. Republican voters, however, were heavily represented.
District 4 did see a steady flow of all voters throughout the day, where residents in that area are electing a new supervisor in a race between Kent Jones and Chris Fisher
Lizzie Martin, district 4 precinct manager, said “Oh yes, I think there’s a lot of excitement. The word supervisors itself in the 4th district means a lot.”
John Johnson was appointed as District 4 supervisor at the beginning of this year, but decided not to run for re-election.
