Harrison County Beautification Commission holding Pick up and the Point cleanup

Set your alarms for Saturday morning to get up and enjoy a fun clean-up day.

Harrison County Beautification Commission is set to host a cleanup day at Point Cadet Plaza.

Volunteers will meet up at the Point and disperse into different areas. Members of the Mississippi Coastal Cleanup Team will be there to provide supplies to the volunteers.

Harrison County Beautification Commission strives to encourage, educate, and envision a clean, green, and beautiful place to live, work, and grow. Harrison County Beautification Commissioner Kevin Felsher said, “We are a tourism destination and when folks come, we want them to have a clean place to come to. It’s bothersome when there is litter everywhere. So, we picked Point Cadet because it is the gateway to Biloxi you know coming east to west. We want it to look really nice for them, but throughout the county in general and through the Coast we would like for it be cleaner and greener.”

The cleanup will begin at 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. The City of Biloxi will provide food, the Blind Tiger of Biloxi will provide t-shirts and Singing River Ochsner will provide water.
