Harrison Central not getting complacent

The Harrison Central Girls’ Basketball team is coming off a district win over Biloxi, which locked up the regular season division title.
In that 37-35 comeback victory, the Red Rebelettes had their lowest scoring output since their very first game of the entire season.
With one regular season game left before next week’s district tournament, top-seed Harrison Central isn’t settling on their last outing from now until then. Harrison Central Girls Basketball Head Coach Nancy Ladner said, “It’s a good feeling for the division, but with our division tournament it starts off 0-0. It’s a brand new season come February 14th, it’s anyone’s game. Right now our division, it’s a toss-up and anybody can win it. We’re still on that roller coaster and we’ve got about another week to kind of jump off that roller coaster, and hopefully we’ll come through.”
The region 8 class 6A district tournament starts February 14th at Harrison Central. The Red Rebelettes get Moss Point at home on Friday at 6 p.m.
