Hard Rock Hunger Homeless Meal

One Coast casino made sure the homeless and less fortunate on the Coast had a warm Thanksgiving meal.
Employees from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi prepared, cooked, and served meals at the Back Bay Mission. The Hard Rock has provided nine of these meals since their inception in 2007. The Hunger Homeless Meal is meant to make Thanksgiving a day of happiness and not hardship for the homeless and less fortunate.
Today’s volunteer effort is just one way the casino helps give back to the community. Paul Juliano with Hard Rock said, “We really do some type of philanthropic event it seems like every week. It may not actually be that much but we’re involved in the community and constantly active."
“Constantly active and we have a great volunteer base. All the employees look forward to it,” said Scott Kiser with Hard Rock.
Back Bay Mission Executive Director Alice Graham said, “One of the things that happens often with the homeless community and low income community is they feel disconnected. They feel isolated from the larger community. Events like this let them know that they are part of the community.”
