Hang out with Habitat

You have an opportunity to repel from the IP Casino and help build a home all through Habitat for Humanity.
Hang out with Habitat is a fundraiser which allows participants to raise a thousand dollars and in return repel from 300 feet along the casino. All the money goes toward building a house in Gulfport for a family in need.
Members of Habitat for Humanity tell News 25 this is a great way to experience an exciting thrill of a lifetime plus learn more about the organization and how you can help provide someone a home. Director of Resource Development Lindsay Avery said, “All the money being raised is staying here locally and going to this house. We’d love everyone to come out and check out the event. You’ll learn a little bit more about Habitat and the work we’ve been doing here throughout the past ten years as Habitat for Humanity the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It’s a great way for people to, something for them to do on a Saturday come check it out and get involved and if they want to swing a hammer we’d love to have them as well.”
Participants are going over the edge on Saturday at the IP between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. They will have an outdoor area with a football tailgate and other activities. It is free and open to the public.
