Gulfport rolls out new app
Today, the City of Gulfport announced the completion of a six month long project to develop a new smart phone app.
The new app will be called ‘Gulfport Connect’ and it will allow residents to easily report issues pertaining to the city such as code concerns, parks, sewer, streets, traffic, water and waste pro. These service requests are easily and automatically routed to the appropriate department for a systemized and prioritized resolution with a touch of a button.
Some of the great features include the ability to pay your water bill as well as the ability to view garbage and recycle pickup days and keep up with coast social events. Chris Vignes with City of Gulfport Public Affairs said, “Water, waste pro, roads, traffic, all those are now available in real time to the residents and we are very excited. This takes the City of Gulfport to the next level now that they have access to their smart phone and it’s a win-win for everyone. We hope this grows and will be a great benefit for the city and our residents.”
The app is available through the Apple app store and Google Play and it is also available through the city website.
