Gulfport PD to be featured on ‘Cops’

‘Whatcha gonna do’ when the Gulfport Police Department comes across your television screen in an upcoming episode of “Cops.”

Lieutenant Tony Alves and Officer Victor Moreno are featured on the show. Producers of “Cops” participated in ride-alongs with the Gulfport Police Department in March 2018 and filmed for eight weeks. The coast can expect to be entertained by the professionalism of the police department.

The show is set to air Monday, February 11th on the Paramount Network. Gulfport Police Chief Leonard Papania said, “Anytime you have the opportunity to demonstrate the professionalism of your police department and let citizens know how their police department is, it’s a good thing. We just saw this as a great opportunity to showcase that first hand.”

Chief Papania tells News 25 there is a chance the Gulfport Police Department may host a viewing party when the show airs.
