Gulfport Harbor Market open every Wednesday

The Gulfport Harbor Market was apparently playing tricks when they said they were ending their season just before Halloween.

It’s all treats for now on because they opened again today, giving residents the opportunity to shop for goodies just in time for Christmas.

Whether you’re looking for an item to spruce up your house for the holidays, fresh fruits and veggies for your favorite dishes, or buy trinkets for friends and family, you can find a little bit of everything at the market.

All of the farmers are locals and everything is made, grown, or raised by the vendors themselves.

Normally the market is closed from November to March for the Christmas lights, but Zeta blew the city’s light show plans away. Farmers Market Manager Diane Claughton said, “Parks and leisure service has kindly allowed us to be here this winter. So, this is a great book for the farmers. With, COVID and the hurricane, the farmers and everybody else is really hurting.”

You can find them next Wednesday again under the Barksdale Pavilion from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There’s also the Beach Boulevard Market this Saturday under the Barksdale Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be local artists, craftsmen, bakers, and farmers.
