Election Day 2026: What Mississippi voters need to know before heading to the polls
With Election Day approaching, Mississippi voters are preparing to head to the polls.
For those balancing work, school, and other daily responsibilities, finding the time to vote can be a challenge.
With polling place changes across the state, knowing where to go is more important than ever.
For some Mississippians, Election Day means fitting the ballot box into an already busy schedule, but election officials say preparation starts long before voters arrive.
Preparation isn’t just happening at the polls; voters can take steps to make sure they know where to go and what to expect.
The state has seen 138 polling place changes since 2024 including locations that have moved, closed, or been added.
The general election is November 3. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Make sure you take time to get informed and make a plan before you cast your ballot.
