Gulf Restoration Programs

The US Department of Agriculture says it’s doing whatever it can to help the Gulf of Mexico continue recover from the 2010 BP Oil Spill. The department has announced it’ll be focusing conservation programs along the gulf. Those programs are a part of an over 300 million dollar plan to help with the recovery from the oil spill. Under Secretary Robert Bonnie says the agency will use that focus through 2018 as it helps coastal producers plan improvements to water quality. While also improving coastal ecosystems under several “Farm Bill” programs.
